A Design fit for an Ancient Dragon

Whew! The last few days have been busy! The dragon pendants for the first Sonea necklaces are being cast (I should get them next week!), we just bought a new dryer (Yea! 8.0 cu ft!!), AND! I finally came up with a design worthy of Tsargoth.

Tsargoth asked me this past summer if I would come up with a design for his 110x110 plot on Shepherd's Mountain. Unfortunately he didn't tell me much about what he'd like except he is interested in cooking. He had the scaffolding for a Large Tavern on his plot, so I'm guessing that is one of the buildings he would like. First I needed someplace as close in size as I could get to his huge plot to design on, since he is actively using his plot. I solved that problem by cloning a character of mine that didn't already own a plot onto Blight server and purchasing a 101x101 plot a bit higher up Shepherd's Mountain. But I just couldn't think of anything that truely sparkled and other things in my life kept needing my attention.

BUT! That finally changed! I've come up with a spiral henge!! It is huge! Approximately the size of the footprint of a Large Tavern, boy it sure is glorious. The picture above is just the basic spiral. I expanded the four cardinal points of it to become the entrances into the henge with Saris gates and large trees on either side of each gate. I then put another large tree between each gate and a Saris pillar on either side of those trees to complete the henge look. (Each of the silos in the picture to the left represents a large tree

Now to get ahold of Tsargoth and see if he likes it. If he does, then I can finally give the plot on Blight to Velveeta, Blight's Queen of Cheese since she's been wanting to purchase that plot. And then we set up Tsargoth's plot! That should only take one long day (8-12 hrs) if the internet gods smile on me.

Death of a Friend

Sad news; a dear friend and fellow guildmate, Alexzandria, passed away early on October 6, 2009.

She will be sorely missed by her friends, guildmates, husband, and children.


I miss you my friend. I miss your humor, your chatter about your family, your eagerness to help, your enjoyment of our favorite game. I enjoy seeing the lovely plot designs in Carmo that you did.

Available Taverns on Order Redux

I thought it might be a good thing to have a list again of the Taverns on Order, so Nellie volunteered Ochre to make up the list. Ochre didn't mind because as a builder she loved the idea of a worldwide Pub Crawl.


The size of the tavern does matter now! All Tavernkeepers give you a benefit called Tavern Atmosphere (which modified food effects), but Imperial and Small Taverns' tavernkeepers only give the benefit at 200%, Medium Taverns' tavernkeepers give it at 250%, and Large Taverns' tavernkeepers give it at a whopping 300%.

Quick update

Been busy.

My daughter finally decided to marry. She and her now hubby picked April 20th as the day which also happened to be the National Weed Day.

Hubby is now a democrat and has thrown his hat in the ring to run for State congress again. He has also decided to have a small business selling books at local gun shows.

Son has decided to create chainmail products.

Sister-in-law is finally divorcing my jackass brother. She has had the patience of a saint with him.

The date to lay my father's ashes has now been decided. It will be this summer right before the yearly family gathering.

Sister-in-law liked the repair work I did on her two necklaces and gave strand of large turquoise nuggets that Dad had bought for her to work up into a choker. I've now decided to go ahead with getting a business licence, so I can sell my jewerly work and my other crafts. Now I need to just settle on a business name.
